Side note; hard freeze and frost this morning, the garden is officially dead. Time to clean up and hunker down for the winter.

Run

Ran 112 last night. 3M--31min. Slower than on the flat routes but the best that I have done with the hills. Seemed easier than usual. Cool and dark by the time I finished.

Run

Ran SCT & part of Frisco, 6M - 64 min. Well now I know I can run a 10K.
6 miles, sweat and 100% cotton makes for some pretty fine sand paper, Nipple bleed at about 5 mile marker. Sweet!! Must wear pasties in the future.

Run

Ran 112 last night after dark. 3M - 32min. Ran the route backwards and it made a real difference. I guess the climb of the hills is the same but the grade seems less, it felt much better. Still hills but I know how I will take them in the future. 6M tomorrow, Oh Joy!

Run

Ran SCT this afternoon. 4M-42min. That proves that its the hills at 112 that are killing my time.

AM Run

Family coming from TX today and Friday so I decided to run early. CCT, 6:45am, 40 degrees, long pants and sleeves, shortened my stride and had a nice easy run,  4 miles - 44 min. Need to take gloves next time, it was cool.

Run run

Friday afternoon we ran 112 neighborhood route, 3M -31 min. A little slower than the day before but a little warmer and with hills so not too bad. Today I was less than excited about 4 miles. I went to SCT and decided I only wanted to finish the 4 without any walking. So far I have ran all the miles without walking and I was hoping to continue that trend. I thought I started slow and the time would be slower. Towards the end I may have gotten into "running like hell to get the agony over with" pace. Anyway, 4 miles at 41 min. Keeping my little over 10 min pace alive and no walking. Should have drank more water this morning, very dry toward the end.

A few other quotes.

Run like hell and get the agony over with.
The only good race pace is suicide pace, and today looks like a good day to die.
Run like you stole something.

Mark, we may need to get Tshirts with this quote.

Run w/hills

We tried a new route yesterday. A previous abandoned subdivision on WC112 (future abbrev 112). It is a big loop with a inner loop that if you run the outside and then the inside it is the perfect 1 mile.  It starts out flat and then turns goes up a decent hill, then turns and goes down a gentle slope, then turns down the backside and flattens out back to the start, if you continue around the center street which splits the circle it has a medium hill, around and back to the start, it is a complete mile.
Hills were a new change in training. I ran it 3 times = 3miles, a few seconds under 30 min. Keeping my 10 min mile. Knee is good this morning, happy with the run and the new route.

Wood

Well I skipped Sundays run. I cut, split and hauled firewood Sat and Sun. I am sore all over and felt like I had done enough work to justify skipping the 3.5. But I may go ahead and run it this afternoon. Not any short runs from here on, I need to keep up the pace.

Run Run

I ran last night, CCT 2.5M @25min. Not bad, cool run, but due to so much going on tonight I decided I would have to run this morning. So 12 hours after the first run I was back at CCT for another run. 2.5M @ 26min. A little different run, it was dark and cold. About 40 degrees and in shorts and t-shirt my arms and hands were cold. It also seemed to be harder to judge my pace and having to watch my steps in the dark it took a little off my time. I went straight to WalMart and bought sweat pants and a long sleeve shirt, morning runs will require the shirt, pants maybe later.
Starting to notice that breathing is getting better about 1.25M, less winded and I start to  think of the running and not the breathing, I think that is a good sign. Also bought some 34-32 jeans this morning, now that is bizarre, last time I had some 34's were before Joe was born. If I ever see 32-32 again it would be a miracle but I will also look like a heroin addict.
But running is over for today, I will do 3.5 Sun. Yea (very sarcastic "yea")
Bikes, Blue & BarBQ tonight.
